We’ve run out of superlatives to describe Shohei Ohtani’s greatness. His 2025 postseason performance defies logic and what we thought was humanly possible on a baseball diamond. After leading the Dodgers to back-to-back World Series titles and claiming his third straight NL MVP award, “Sho-Time” has become the face of Major League Baseball and one of the most celebrated athletes in the world. Even after another astonishing 2025 campaign in which he set career-highs in home runs (55) and runs scored (146) with a 2.87 ERA in 14 games started, what Ohtani did in 2024 may stand the test of time as the most impressive feat in history. 54 homers and 59 stolen bases. The first ever 50/50 player. Coming off elbow surgery in September 2023, the 6’ 5” Japanese Adonis rested his golden right arm and put on an unfathomable display of speed and power that surely had 40/40 Club members Barry Bonds, A-Rod and Ronald Acuña in awe.

This important bat swung by Shohei during his record-setting 50/50 campaign was responsible for five of those homers late in the season. Beginning August 24th in L.A. against Tampa Bay, Ohtani had 14 hits in 49 at-bats (.286) with five HR, eight RBI, 15 runs scored, and six stolen bases over a 12-game span that ended back in L.A. against Cleveland on September 6th. The five home runs were numbers 41 through 45 on the season (#’s 212 – 216 for his MLB career), and the six steals took his total to 45 on the year as well. Clear photo-matching evidence from these games is provided by PSA Photo Match.

The Chandler professional model ‘SO17.4’ maple bat with a black finish and shiny silver center brand remains un-cracked with a tremendous amount of use. The model details including manufacturing order date range (March 17 to April 19, 2024), bat length (34”) and weight (31.5 oz.) are stamped on the front barrel. Several loud ball contact marks including blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs are visible on all sides of the barrel. Cleat marks are visible on the right barrel and there is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. Ohtani has signed the barrel (thanks to his Fanatics partnership) in bold 10/10 silver marker with “GU 24” inscribed.

Considering its level of usage over such a long stretch of games, this historic bat comes in amazing condition with all the attributes coveted by esteemed bat collectors. Authenticator John Taube agreed and gave it a perfect PSA/DNA GU 10 grade. Holding five significant dingers in its arsenal from Ohtani’s historic 50/50 season, one can certainly make the case this is the finest known Ohtani gamer ever to surface.

Includes full photo-match paperwork from PSA Photo Match and a full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (GU 10). An affixed Fanatics hologram (XJ05531607) certifies the Ohtani autograph and inscription.
