Just looking at Shota Imanaga’s record in Japan makes it clear why the Chicago Cubs were hot to acquire the pitching ace. The 2-time Nippon Baseball League All-Star threw a 117-pitch no-hitter in 2022 and followed that up by winning the Central League strikeout crown in 2023. The future Cubs star wore this Yokohama Baystars home jersey during the 2023 Nippon Baseball League season. The front features the Baystars logo across the chest, accompanied by blue and white stripes down the front and shoulders. Imanaga’s number “21” is on the lower left front, and the right sleeve has the Baystars logo patch. The back has an NBL patch above “IMANAGA” and his number “21” in black, white, and blue. Imanaga has signed the back of the jersey, just below his number in bold black marker. The jersey comes with a COA from PSA/DNA.
