The most exciting young ballplayer in the American League is Bobby Witt Jr. Still just 24 years old as he enters his fourth MLB season, the Kansas City Royals star shortstop had an incredible 2024 campaign as he won the AL batting title (.332) and blasted 32 homers with 109 RBI. In the field, he won his first Gold Glove award. The MVP runner-up would have been a shoe-in if not for Aaron Judge blasting 58 homers for the Yanks. Witt is the early favorite in Vegas to win AL MVP in 2025.
This lot offers a 2023 Bobby Witt Jr. Homewood Bat Company game used and autographed bat. The 'BW2' pro model bat is uncracked and exhibits outstanding game use with numerous ball marks and stitch impressions. Bat rack streaks and cleat marks are also visible throughout. Spiral tape on the handle was been removed. A heavy coat of pine tar appears on the handle along with a beautiful signature in bold black marker on the barrel.
The maple bat is 33.5" and weighs 31.5 oz. as indicated on the barrel insignia. A blue Royals team sticker with Witt's No. 7 is affixed to the knob end. Includes LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA with a nearly perfect GU 9.5 grade. The autograph is certified by PSA/DNA (AP30067) with a sticker on the barrel end.
