Featured here is a special pairing of a 2021 Copa América Final Lionel Messi match issued jersey and AFA staff winner’s medal celebrating Argentina’s 2021 South American Cup title in Brazil. In an epic Final at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro against their rival hosts, Argentina triumphed 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ángel Di María in the first half. For Leo, it marked his first major trophy with La Albiceleste. The offered 2021 Copa América jersey was issued to Messi for the Argentina vs. Brazil Final on July 10, 2021. Players typically receive at least two shirts for every scheduled match and nowadays most starters change shirts at halftime. The accompanying 2021 Copa América winner’s medal was awarded to an Argentina National Team staff member. The gold medal has an artistic depiction of the Copa América trophy on one side with “AL CAMPEÓN” (To the Champion) on top and the 2021 Copa América legend on the bottom. The other side shows the continent of South America with “1916” (inaugural tournament). Diameter is 59 mm and thickness is 4 mm. The medal comes attached to its blue 2021 Copa América branded ribbon.
