Bosnian footballer Edin Džeko will turn 40 next March, yet age is just a number for the lethal striker who continues to stay relevant on the club side and further his legacy as the former Yugoslavian nation’s greatest ever player. In 144 caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Džeko has scored 71 goals. His storied club career has gone from VfL Wolfsburg (2007-11) in Bundesliga to Manchester City (2011-16) and then Roma (2016-21), Inter Milan (2021-23), and now Fiorentina in Serie A. The “Bosnian Diamond” has scored nearly 300 goals combined in his European club career, capitalizing on his superior physicality and aerial abilities on the pitch.
Offered here is a pair of Džeko match-worn Adidas cleats from his 2018/19 season at A.S. Roma as well as international play for Bosnia & Herzegovina during that period. According to our consignor, the boots were sourced from a Roma teammate. Properly tagged on the interior (UK size 10.75), the silver boots have the red Adidas stripes logo on the outers and red outsoles featuring eleven studs on the bottoms of each. The right shoe has the Bosnian flag with “DZEKO” on the outer ankle. The left shoe has the Bosnian flag with “UNA & DANI” (names of his children) on the outer ankle. The boots display obvious use inside and out, with soil staining on the outers and worn-down studs on the outsoles. There are hundreds of images online of Edin Džeko wearing these same style cleats and colorways.
