Amazing 2017 Patrick Mahomes Fanatics ‘Rookie Premier’ Event Worn one-of-one jersey. This Kansas City Chiefs jersey worn by Super Bowl Champion and MVP, Patrick Mahomes, was the first-ever NFL jersey that he wore to begin his career. Fanatics conducts a ‘Rookie Premier’ event every preseason in order to photograph every rookie selection from each team. The jersey offered in this lot can be seen in many Patrick Mahomes rookie card examples including the 2017 Panini Prizm rookie card. An absolute must-have for any serious Mahomes collector as it is the first time he suited up in an official NFL uniform. The one-of-one jersey remains in excellent condition with virtually no wear at all. Deodorant stains from Mahomes can be seen in each underarm portion of the jersey. The size 44 +2 length jersey has a Fanatics hologram affixed to its tagging denoting its use in the ‘Rookie Premier’ event in 2017 as well as a patch sewn in on the inner portion of the jersey. The patch reads “Fanatics Authentic/May 20th 2017/Event Worn” along with an NFLPA Rookie Premier logo. This jersey example also dons a Lamar Hunt commemorative patch on the upper left chest portion honoring the late founder of the AFL. Overall, a uniquely important piece in history from the current highest-paid player in the league. Mahomes is a special player, unlike anything we’ve seen before on a clear path to a Hall of Fame career.
