Ace left-hander Madison Baumgartner wore this San Francisco Giants “4th of July” themed home jersey in a clash versus the Colorado Rockies on July 4 2016 at AT&T Park. Although “Mad Bum” did not start or make an appearance in the Giants’ 3-1 victory that afternoon did wear the jersey in the dugout and was available to pinch-hit for Manager Bruce Bochy if called upon. The 2014 World Series MVP was a work horse again in 2016 as he tallied career-highs in innings pitched (226 2/3) and strikeouts (251) with a career-low 2.74 ERA to earn his 4th straight All-Star appearance. A future Cy Young awaits the 6’ 4” 250-lb. physical specimen from Hickory NC whose is also the most feared hitting pitcher in the game today.
The offered white mesh button-down jersey reads “GIANTS” across the front in a unique red and blue star pattern design in honor of Independence Day. Bumgarner’s large No. 40” appears on the back in the same tackle twill design. The front left tail exhibits the proper Majestic manufacturer’s tagging along with a size “50” label. A separate Majestic bar code strip tag labeled “GISO – 2016 – 50” is found along the right tail inseam. The official MLB logo patch appears on the outside of the rear collar again in a 4th of July theme. The right sleeve is adorned with a large American flag embroidered patch and two special team patches (“Monte 20”) and (“Davvy 12”) in honor of Giant greats Monte Irvin and Jim Davenport who both passed away in early 2016. The left sleeve has a SF logo patch. The striking Mad Bum gamer displays light wear and is authenticated by MLB.
