Former A.L. Cy Young Award winner “King Felix” Hernandez turned in another solid campaign during the 2016 MLB season by posting an 11-8 record with 122 K’s to his credit. This lot features Hernandez’s 2016 game worn Seattle Mariners alternate jersey which has been professionally photo-matched to six games from that season including his 150th career win on August 15th against the Los Angeles Angels. Coincidentally the milestone victory occurred on the fourth anniversary of his only no-hitter. Hernandez became the Mariners' all-time leader in wins and strikeouts in 2016.
The offered navy blue Majestic Authentic Collection Seattle Mariners alternate jersey (size 48) includes proper manufacturer’s tagging on the left front tail. Showing moderate wear the jersey reads “SEATTLE” across the front in silver tackle twill script outlined in navy blue and aqua with his uniform number ”34” appearing on the left chest in similar tackle twill fashion. The Seattle Mariners embroidered patch adorns the left sleeve and the officialblue white and aqua colored vinyl MLB patch is located on the outside rear collar. His last name – “HERNANDEZ” – appears arched across the shoulders in silver tackle twill outlined in navy blue and aqua positioned above his uniform number “34” in like tackle twill fashion which measures eight inches tall. All six original blue buttons down the front of the jersey remain intact. There is slight fraying of the letters across the front of the jersey.
