David Ortiz wrapped his Hall of Fame career in 2016 by reaching several offensive milestones. Among the most significant occurred on August 28 when he hit his 534th career homer which tied him with another Boston legend, Jimmie Foxx. These batting gloves were worn by Ortiz during that game and were later signed and inscribed to mark the milestone. The black and white Marucci batting gloves feature Big Papi’s special “LEG3ND4RY” logo on each wrist. The well-used palms have pine tar residue and turf stains, and each one has been signed and inscribed with “HR #534 Tie Fox” in black marker (Ortiz did not know that Jimmie Foxx spelled his name with two “x”s). The gloves come with Fanatics and MLB Authentication.
