An emotional LeBron James wailed, "Cleveland, this is for you!!" in front of a stunned crowd in Oakland. Yes, Cleveland's long running sports curse was finally put to rest when Akron native "King James" carried his team, and entire city, on his back, which culminated in the Cavaliers dramatic 2016 NBA Finals victory over the powerhouse Golden State Warriors in seven games. The Cavs even managed to win game 7 on the road.
Presented here is a 10K gold staff ring with real diamonds that was awarded to a team employee by owner Dan Gilbert for their contributions during the magical title run. The ring closely resembles what players like LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and LeBron James would have received. The face displays a bold maroon Cavs “C” with NBA Championship trophy. The trophy features a large diamond and the C is set in a bed of diamonds. The words “WORLD” and “CHAMPIONS” sit at the top and bottom of the face. On one shank is the employee’s last name “PHELPS” with a diamond-studded 2016 and the state of Ohio also displayed. The other shank features the Cleveland city skyline, the CAVS name, and CLE. The size 11.5 ring weighs 85 grams. Total weight of diamonds: 3.25ct. Total weight of colored stones: 0.12ct.
