Mookie Betts is among the most exciting young players in the game. On April 6 2015 Opening Day for the Boston Red Sox vs. the Philadelphia Phillies he hit a home run in his second at bat becoming the third youngest player to hit a home run on Opening Day for the Red Sox. On April 13 2015 in the home opener at Fenway Park against the Washington Nationals Betts arguably had the most exciting performance of his career. He robbed Bryce Harper of a home run stole two bases on one play and hit a home run into the Monster seats all in the first three innings. Betts ended the 2015 season with a .291 batting average with 92 runs scored 77 RBIs 18 home runs and 21 stolen bases.

This Louisville Slugger model B433 Mookie Betts professional model bat is un-cracked and exhibits evidence of outstanding use with an impression from a weighted batting donut. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the left front and back barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs on the left front and back barrel. Green bat rack marks are visible on the back barrel. The handle has spiral 'Lizard Skins' tape application to enhance the grip. The mark visible on the handle identifies the face grain of the bat. This is a mandatory marking per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since January 2009. The date of manufacture (05/05115) the length (33.0) the weight (31.0) and 'VM' (Vacuum Maple) are stamped into the knob.

Available photography of Betts' at the plate in 2015 shows that he is a consistent user of Victus bats. PSA/DNA could not locate an image of Betts at the plate using a Louisville Slugger bat therefore attributes use on the bat as most likely from batting practice. This being said available images of Betts at bat do not represent a full season so PSA/DNA cannot eliminate the possibility of game use by Betts.

LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA.
