After a painstaking Game 7 loss in the 2014 World Series to the MadBum-led San Francisco Giants the Kansas City Royals got refocused andmade it all the way back to the Fall Classic in 2015. This time facingthe New York Mets they were not to be denied winning their first WorldChampionship in 30 years. A balanced team-effort with timely hittingaggressive base-running and a dominant bullpen were the recipes forsuccess. A largely home-grown roster of maturing talent led by EricHosmer Lorenzo Cain and Salvador Perez had blossomed into World Championsunder Manager Ned Yost. Offered here is spectacular 2015 World Series14K gold ring issued to former big-leaguer Milt Thompson who has served the Royals' organizationas outfield base-running and hitting instructor for four seasons.
The Royals' large "KC"logo spelled out in 31 custom-cutblue sapphires outlined in yellow gold adorns the fact set atop a bed of 14-karat white gold and 41 round cut diamonds. The words "WORLD CHAMPIONS" frame the top and bottom in yellow gold with an additional 16 round cut diamonds on each side. The sides are lined with theteam’s crown logo in 14-karat yellow gold with a gold satinfinish. There are 30 round white diamonds that adorn the top of thecrown while 30 princess-cut blue sapphires sit behind the crown. One shankfeatures "THOMPSON" atop a silhouetted Kaufman Stadium overlaid with theRoyals and MLB logo. The other shanks has "2015" spelled out in yellowgold and 23 round cut diamonds set above a baseball diamond and World Series trophyflanked by two large princess-cut sapphires for 1st and 3rd base that represent the team'sback to back A.L. Pennants. The five diamonds on the bottomof the trophy represent the five runs Kansas City scored in the top ofthe 12th inning in their Game 5 clinching victory over the Mets. Insidethe band is the team logo engraved with "CROWNED BACK TO BACK A.L.CHAMPS" and each of the three postseason series results in 2015 tobecome champions along with "Jostens 14K." The ring has a total of 115 diamonds (2.5 carats) and comes in size 12 weighing 74 grams total.
The ring itself is inimmaculate condition having little sign of ever being worn by MiltThompson. It includes the original Jostens black presentation boxalso in perfectshape with aglass top etched "Royals 2015 World Champions." Original paperwork from the Royals including its officialappraisal ($17400) is also included.Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping.
