From the San Francisco Giants memorable 2014 Championship season comes this impressive 34 inch 31 ounce Louisville Slugger model S318 Buster Posey professional model game used bat. The bat exhibits evidence of outstanding use with a handle crack. Numerous ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on all sides of the barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Cleat marks can be seen on the right and left barrel. The handle has been taped approximately 11.75" in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the tape. The date of manufacture (4/11/13) 'VM' (Vacuum Maple) length (34.0) and weight (31.0) are stamped into the knob.
Provenance: The subject bat has been photo matched as being used by Posey on April 26th April 27th April 28th and April 29th 2013. The accompanying PSA/DNA LOA includes images of the bat being used by Posey on April 28th. On that date Posey hit his 49th career home run his 3rd home run of the season. Images of the home run at bat were not available but the match of Posey at the plate with the bat (AP Images # 919373079573 attached) on April 29th in our opinion as well as that of John Taube at PSA/DNA confirms his continued use of the bat after hitting the home run. Therefore we have every reason to believe Posey did not change bats for the home run. A significant Posey bat combing ideal championship lineage home run photo match and team documentation. Includes a S.F. Giants LOA and additional LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (Grade GU9.5).
