There will never be another run in professional golf like the one Tiger Woods enjoyed from the late 1990s to the early 2010s. The child prodigy and amateur champion became an instant legend at 21 years old with his first Masters victory in 1997, blowing away the field by a record 12-stroke margin. In 2019, after battling injuries and health concerns from a near-fatal car accident for years, Woods won The Masters for the fifth time – his 15th major overall and 82nd career victory to tie Sam Snead for most all-time. The magical moment at Augusta National was the crowning achievement of Tiger’s career and cemented his status as The GOAT of the gentleman’s game.
Offered here is a Tiger Woods tournament used and autographed golf glove that has been conclusively photo-matched to the 2013 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH. Woods won the tournament for the eighth time, finishing 15 under par for a seven-stroke cushion.
The white leather glove has a black Nike Swoosh logo across the velcro strap. Tiger has autographed the palm in bold 10/10 black marker. A “TW” logo is stamped under the wrist. “Made on Korea” and “C-ML” [Men’s Large] size tags are found on the interior. The glove displays heavy use with color transfers from tournament action. It comes with an official August 1-4, 2013 Bridgestone Invitational Firestone Country Club South Course yardage book obtained by the lucky patron who procured the glove and got Tiger to sign it on-site.
Sports Investors Authentication was able to photo-match the glove to Thursday, August 1st during the first round of the tournament. In addition to the SIA paperwork is a letter of authenticity from Beckett (AB40179) for the signature.
