In just his third season in the majors, Mike Trout had firmly established himself as the most exciting player in the game. Equally powerful at the plate as he was fast on the bases, Trout won the Rookie of the Year Award and narrowly missed two MVP Awards in 2012 and 2013. Mike Trout used this bat during the June 23, 2013, game against Pittsburgh in Anaheim. In fact, it has been professionally photo-matched by the experts at Resolution Photomatching.
In the bottom of the second, Trout faced Pirates starter Charlie Morton and hit a broken bat fielders choice ground ball. A run scored but in the end the Angels fell short to the Pirates, 10-9. Trout would go on to hit .323 with 27 home runs for the ear while leading the AL in runs scored and walks. The Old Hickory gamer shows great use and has been cracked. The barrel displays several significant ball marks and scuffs, and the handle end has been taped in Trout’s trademark manner and a thick coat of Mota Stick applied to enhance his grip. The Angels star has signed the barrel in contrasting silver ink adding “13 G.U.”
An MLB Authentication hologram is affixed to the barrel and an Anderson Authentics and PSA/DNA sticker is placed on the knob end. The bat comes with LOAs from PSA/DNA (auto.), Resolution Photomatching, and Anderson Authentics.
