This is an exceptional pre-rookie game used bat of Astros Short Stop phenom Carlos Correa. This custom made maple Chandler bat is a model CC13E Maple dating to July 2013. The bat was used by Carlos in late 2013 with A Quad Cities or in Spring Training 2014. The barrel markings read "LSA.0612.0709.13 33.5/31". The bat has a customer knob sticker made by Chandler which reads "CC" and "CARLOS CORREA." The bat shows GREAT use with ball marks heavy Mota-Stick on the lower handle (which is standard characteristic for Carlos) deep seam marks and some spike marks. The bat has a slight handle crack with no pieces missing. The crack lays down flat and displays great!
This is one of the earliest Correa bats to hit the market and one of the most unique considering a custom bat was made for an 18 Year Old Top Prospect! This bat was originally purchased from Carlos' father Carlos Correa Sr. The bat includes a detailed letter stating that the bat originates from the Correa Family personal collection! Correa was the #1 Draft Pick by the Houston Astros in 2012. He quickly moved through the minors moving from AA to AAA to the Big Club in just weeks. In 2015 he set not only Astros Rookie records but also MLB Rookie records. Carlos became the first shortstop since 1914 to hit 8 Home Runs in his first 34 games. He also became only the second youungest player to steal three bases in one game right behind Rickey Henderson! In his first season he hit 22 Home Runs and 108 Hits with a .279 Batting Average. Carlos was named the 2015 American League Rookie of the Year! This guy is only going to keep getting better. And he just turned 21 Years old!
