Neymar da Silva Santos Junior better known as Neymar came into prominence at the early age of 18 when he made his professional debut with the Brazil National Team. After winning South American Footballer of the Year both in 2011 and 2012 as a member of famed Brazilian club Santos FC he joined Barcelona FC in La Liga to play alongside Leo Messi and form one of the most lethal scoring duos the world has ever seen. Aside from Neymar's rise in the ranks at the club level he quickly became a darling for the Brazilian National Team and has tallied 61 goals in 98 caps. He's won several awards for his country along the way including the Golden Ball during the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup that took place in Brazil. This lot features a Neymar match-issued/ready jersey from the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup that has been signed by 17 Brazil National Team member. Key autographs include Neymar Thiago Silva Dani Alves Hulk Lucas Jefferson Marcelo Dante Jô Fred Filipe Luis Hernanes Oscar Givanildo Vieira de Sousa and Luis Gustavo. All signatures come in strong 9/10 black marker.
Neymar scored four goals during the 2013 Confed Cup leading his nation to the title (Brazil beat USA in the Finals) and showing the world why the slick-footed boy wonder was so coveted by all of Europe's top clubs. The Nike Dri-Fit (size L) collared jersey comes in Brazil's yellow and green National Team colors. The right chest features an embossed "CBF" (Brazilian Football Confederation) crest with five green stars just above. Neymar's iconic number "10" appears on the front and back with "NEYMAR JR." also on the back; all letters and numbers are green and pressed on. There are two patches affixed to each sleeve: the "Brasil 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup" patch on the right and the "Football for Hope" FIFA patch on the left. The air holes on the side torso feature five stars at the top representing Brazil's five World Cup titles. There is an embossed canary on the inside of the neck line just below the collar with "NASCIDO PARA JOGAR FUTEBOL" (BORN TO PLAY SOCCER) and five more green stars. The lower left tail has the Nike Authentic tagging with "071385650" internal coding.
The shirt was sourced from a Brazil National Team technical coordinator but due to the light evidence of wear and our consignor's lack of certainty regarding which game it was used we are calling it match-issued. Includes full LOA from PSA/DNA (AG01615).
