Nice pair of game-used bats from two key members of the San Francisco Giants World Series trilogy. Outfielders Hunter Pence and Angel Pagan used these fine pieces of lumber during the Giants' 2nd of three Championship seasons in 2012. Pence was traded from the Philadelphia to the San Francisco before the 2012 trade deadline and gave the Giants some much needed power in the middle of the order along with steady defense in right field not to mention many famous motivational speeches. The fidgety and quirky fan favorite totaled 24 homers and drove in 104 runs for the season. His SSK Professional Edge signature model maple bat is heavily taped on the handle with an extra red layer near the knob for better grip. The end of the knob is uniquely padded with a protective taping wrap--the kind used for taping one's ankle. The upper handle is coated with Mota stick and has a crack that has been repaired. Length is 34" and weight is around 32 oz. Barrel shows excellent game use with several contact marks and ball stitch impressions.
Pagan had perhaps his best MLB season in 2012 finishing with a .288 average 29 stolen bases a career-high 95 runs scored and an NL-best 15 triples. His Tucci Lumber 'TL-PS48-LDM' professional model bat is uncracked and has a light coat of Mota stick on the handle. A black and orange No. "16" sticker is affixed to the end of the knob. The barrel is stamped with "04071286.0" for the 4/7/12 manufacturing date and "33.5/31.9" for the bat's length and weight specs. It shows solid game use on the barrel with markings from ball contact bat racks and cleats. There are a few damaging nicks and gouges on the barrel. Pagan has signed the barrel in shiny silver marker with the inscription 2-2012 Game Used W.S. Champs.
