It's hardly uncommon to have young players with great potential and promise find themselves dubbed "The Next Mickey Mantle" - that curious practice has been going on for a half century or so. What's quite a bit rarer is finding the youngster who truly seems up to the task of shouldering such outsized expectations. Mike Trout of the Angels fits that description nicely. This official Angels cap was worn by Trout in batting practice in 2011-12; the cap has the MLB Authentic Collection and New Era tagging (Large-XLarge) and shows perspiration staining on the edge of the brim along with Trout's No. 27 written in marker on the bill. The cap appears to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition. LOA from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
