Featured here is a fantastic pair of Dirk Nowitski game-worn and signed signature model sneakers from the 2011-12 season. The 7-footer out of Wurzburg Germany averaged 21.6 points and 6.7 rebounds that year earning one of his 13 career All-Star appearances. Dirk won league MVP honors in 2006-07 when he became a member of the elite 50-40-90 shooting club and led his Dallas Mavericks to the franchise’s only NBA title in 2010-11 over a star-studded Miami Heat squad. After 18 seasons and counting Dirk currently sits in sixth place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list and will surpass the coveted 30000 point total next year. He is widely considered the greatest foreign player in NBA history and will surely be enshrined in Springfield on the first Hall of Fame ballot.
The Nike Zoom Hyperdunk mid/high-tops come in white with navy blue color tones to match the Mavs team colors. “DIRK 41” is stamped on the tongues to denote Nowitki’s uniform number. A hard clear plastic panel wraps around the heels and a breathable midsection give them an innovative design. They come with their original white laces. The insoles have been removed likely for custom orthotics Dirk prefers to use leaving a hand-marked label in blue ballpoint on the interior heels that we cannot decipher. The size 16 shoes are appropriately tagged inside with "SEASON H011" and "PROMO SAMPLE" indicating they were player-issued for 2011-12. The sneakers display solid game wear with some scuffing and contact marks on the exterior as well as proper heel drag on the bottoms. Dirk has signed the outer toes of each in 8/10 black marker with his No. “41” inscribed. They are style-matched to multiple February '12 games.
