It took a full half century since the transplanted and renamed Washington Senators franchise debuted in inauspicious format with four consecutive 100-loss seasons but the American League flag was finally captured in 2010 following a six-game ALCS victory over the mighty New York Yankees. Presented is the very first Championship ring ever issued to the Texas Rangers ballclub in honor of their 2010 American League Championship. This stunning 10K White Gold ring was given to minor league pitcher Omar Poveda. The hefty ring weighs 59 grams and has 2.9 carats in diamonds. A Rangers T logo created in real diamonds rests on top against a red stone background. The familiar logo is surrounded by 137 round cut real diamonds and the words "AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 2010". On one side is "POVEDA" above a Texas flag in red and blue enamel and 8 real diamonds along with the number "70" atop a raised image of a baseball. The other has "RANGERS" above a raised American League logo and an image of the Ball Park at Arlington. Inside band is stamped "JOSTENS 10K". Ring size 11.
