Logan Mankins was a durable offensive guard who played 11 seasons (2005 to 2015) in the NFL the first nine of which were played with the New England Patriots. At 6' 4" and 308 pounds Mankins became one of Tom Brady's most consistent protectors and started 161 games over the course of his entire career which included his final two seasons playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This lot features Mankins' game-worn New England Patriots helmet from the 2009 season a campaign that saw the Patriots go 10-6 during the regular season and win the AFC East title. The Riddell helmet (size L) shows incredible wear and tear with collision and contact marks as well as paint transfers throughout the crown. New England's trademark Patriots logo adorns both sides of the helmet while the back of the helmet includes Mankins' uniform number "70" in blue numerals centered between the official NFL Shield logo and a small replica U.S. flag. "PATRIOTS" in blue lettering can be seen across the bottom of the rear of the helmet. Both the original Riddell white chin strap and red face mask remain intact. A powerful piece of Patriots' game-worn equipment donned by one of the team's all-time best guards in history.
