Featured here is an attractive game-worn jersey from one of the true giants of the modern NHL Washington Capitals Team Captain Alex Ovechkin one of the league’s great scorers and a perennial All-Star. He led the NHL in scoring in 2007-08 winning his first Rocket Richard and Art Ross trophies with several more to come along with the league’s MVP Award (and again in 2008-09). This particular Capitals gamer comes from Ovechkin’s 2009-10 season with the Capitals in which he scored 50 goals and made 59 assists for a 109-point season and was named a First Team NHL All-Star.
This red mesh jersey is a fitting tribute to one of the league’s premier stars. It has three embroidered white stars across the front and “Capitals” in red white and blue tackle twill below. Ovechkin’s “C” captaincy letter is in red and blue tackle twill on the left shoulder and the shirt boasts blue and white mesh panels at the shoulders middle and waist. “Ovechkin” is across the back in white tackle twill outlined in blue on a red nameplate and his No. 8 is in the same tackle twill fashion below and on each arm. Size 58 CCM tagging is at the back of the collar while a Reebok manufacturer’s tag appears on the left inseam. The jersey shows plenty of game usage with some small rips and tears on the shoulders and sleeves. It carries the MeiGray Group Authentication tagging from the 2009-10 NHL Season on the inside of the tail near the intact fight straps.
