Detroit Tigers right-hander Justin Verlander has been a dominant pitcher since his American League Rookie of the Year campaign in 2006 when he went 17-9 and struck out 124 batters. He has averaged no fewer than 16 wins and 194 Ks per season in the Motor City. This is Verlanders game-used Tigers home jersey from the 2008 season in which he struck out 163 batters and posted 11 wins for Detroit. The 100% polyester size 48 jersey includes six opaque buttons on the front and shows several signs of fraying of the Tigers emblem on the front left chest with more fraying of the uniform No. 35 and Verlanders stitched-in name across the back. Just beneath the Majestic Authentic Collection tag on the bottom left side of the jersey front is a white stitched-in bar signifying the jersey number (35) jersey size (48) season (08) and jersey style (064). Even the faded initials of Tigers' Clubhouse Manager Jim Schmakel can be seen faintly on the Majestic Authentic Collection tag a sure-fire sign that this jersey is indeed a gamer from Verlander.
