Peyton Hillis is currently on the New York Football Giants roster. The bruising halfback/fullback hybrid developed his bulldozer running style during his collegiate career at the University of Arkansas. As a key member of the Razorbacks backfield Hillis accounted for 947 all-purpose yards (including more than 200 in kick-off and punt returns) and seven touchdowns during his sophomore season while also serving as a blocker for up-and-coming star running backs Darren McFadden and Felix Jones. Overall he scored a total of 23 touchdowns during his Razorbacks career and accounted for 960 yards rushing and 1197 yards receiving. This lot includes his game-worn and autographed Razorbacks red jersey (#22) that he wore during his senior season in the fall of 2007 when he averaged 5.6 yards per carry and made 49 receptions for 539 yards and five touchdowns.
The Adidas size 44 nylon/poly jersey shows ample wear fraying and paint transfers from opposing tacklers. It includes the proper tagging on the front to indicate the season (07) and sports nearly a five-inch-long tear on the back of the jersey right between the uniform number '22'. The special SEC 75th Anniversary embroidered patch is sewn onto the left shoulder. Hillis has signed the jersey in black fine-point marker on the back of the left shoulder and added his professional uniform "#40". The signature is less than stellar and rates a 6-7/10.
