A three-time AL batting champion Joe Mauer is a Twin Cities treasure who figures to wind up in Cooperstown someday. With a .316 lifetime average those three batting crowns an MVP Award and six All-Star nods Mauer has been the heart and soul of the Minnesota franchise for more than a decade.
Dating to the 2007 season this 34 inch 32.5 ounce Rawlings model 456MR Joe Mauer professional model bat exhibits evidence of excellent use with a crack on the center brand and barrel. Several ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the right left and back barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers. Cleat marks can be seen on all sides of the barrel and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the upper handle. The model number (456MR) order number (028) and year (07) are stamped into the knob. The weight '32' and 'Mauer' are stamped into the knob. There is an 'X' written on the knob and top barrel. This is an indicator by Mauer designating the bat as one he would make available for sale.
