During the 2007-08 NCAA mens basketball season Darren Collison was the starting junior point guard for the UCLA Bruins. Collison teaming with freshman center Kevin Love and sophomore guard Russell Westbrook led the Bruins to a 35-4 regular-season record and a first-place (16-2) finish in the Pac-10 standings. In the NCAA Tournament UCLA battled as far as the Final Four before bowing out to Memphis 78-63. This lot features Collisons game-worn UCLA road jersey from that memorable season.
The size 42 Adidas jersey (No. 2) shows solid game use and includes partial fraying of the "UCLA" yellow tackle twill letters outlined in white on the front of the jersey. Its important to note that this was the season that UCLAs mens basketball team colored the letter "C" differently on its road uniforms to celebrate the schools unprecedented accomplishment of becoming the first university to win 100 National Championships in collegiate athletics. (The letter "C" stands for 100 in roman numerals.) 2007-08 is the only season UCLA players wore this style jersey. Collison signed the lower right side of the jersey front in black fine-tip marker and added "#2" for his uniform number. Shows light to moderate wear.
