Ryan Zimmerman was a September call-up by the Washington Nationals in 2005 just three months after he was taken with the fourth overall pick in the 2005 MLB Draft. The 20-year-old prospect showed promise right away, batting .397 in 20 games with the Nats in 2005.
Offered here is a Louisville Slugger H238 used by Mr. National in this 20-game stretch prior to his rookie season in 2006. The uncracked bat exhibits excellent use, with numerous ball marks and stitch impressions on the right, left, and back barrel. Green bat rack streaks are visible on the handle, as well as a heavy coat of Mota stick. Zimmerman signed the front barrel in bold blue Sharpie and inscribed "Rookie Year Game Used." John Taube of PSA/DNA has graded it a perfect GU 10. PSA/DNA also sticker certified the bat for the autograph.
