Here's a monster from the rookie season of three-time AL batting champion Joe Mauer a Twin Cities treasure who figures to wind up in Cooperstown someday hopefully a ways off. With a .319 lifetime average those three batting crowns an MVP Award and six All-Star nods Mauer has been the heart and soul of the Minnesota franchise for more than a decade. With that sterling resume comes this rookie gamer signed and inscribed no less by Mauer. On the left front tail is the Russell manufacturers tag with wash instructions. Attached are two flag tags with 50 100% Polyester and +2 Extra Length. Adjacent is the year 2004 label with Steiner Sports hologram affixed. Across the front is Twins with Mauer's No. 7 on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in red on navy tackle twill. Player name MAUER appears across the back in blue tackle twill. At the rear collar is the official MLB logo patch. On the left sleeve is the team Twin Cities patch with adjacent Russell R logo. On the right sleeve is the Eloise patch worn in memory of the owners wife. The jersey is properly tagged and shows light game use that last nuance attested to by Mauer himself who graces the front with an attractive blue Sharpie signature and inscribed #7 plus the notation "2004 Rookie Year Game Used."
