Nice set of 2004 game-used pieces from Angels star outfielder Garret Anderson who is currently the franchise leader in games played at bats hits total bases singles doubles grand slams extra-base hits and career RBIs. He batted .301 with 14 homers and 75 RBI in 2004 helping the Halos win another AL West Division title. The Angels went from California to Anaheim to Los Angeles in his 15-year tenure.
The home white Anaheim Angels shirt is unsigned and has 'ANGELS' across the front in the same four-stacked red on blue white and silver tackle twill lettering. Verso has Anderson arched across the shoulders with his number 16 below. "Anderson" and his No. 16 front and back are in red-on-blue tackle twill. Red trim appears on the collar and the sleeves. The MLB logo patch appears on the back in red white and blue embroidery and the red Majestic logo is embroidered on the left shoulder. 'Majestic' manufacturer's tag appears on the front left tail with two small flap tags attached beneath: 'Set 4 2004' and Size "50". The jersey shows excellent wear including significant dirt and sweat staining on the left sleeve and lower back shirttail. It is essentially as-issued in problem-free and appropriate game-used condition.
The red Rawlings batting helmet with right ear flap has the patented 'A' logo on the front and Anderson's No. '16' on the back next to the MLB sticker logo. He signed the top in 9/10 black Sharpie. The helmet shows solid wear with scuffing all over.
