At the time a young forward for the Denver Nuggets NBA great Carmelo Anthony was chosen to represent his country on the USA Team in the 2004 Summer Olympics at Athens Greece. The 20-year-old star saw action in seven games in the competition in which the USA Team won accolades by defeating the Lithuanian squad in the Bronze Medal Final. This white mesh garment was worn by Anthony during the 2004 Olympics. The piece's front bears the letters and number "USA 8" characters in black-on-red tackle twill; Anthony's uniform No. 8 appears again in like fashion accompanied by a black-letter arc reading Anthony on the jersey's back. A USA Basketball logo patch is sewn onto the front left shoulder and the Reebok embroidered logo patch on the right. The shirt has black and red accents on the ribbed sides and similar highlights on the collar and yokes with embroidered white star at the V of the collar. On the jersey's front left tail a "Reebok USA Basketball" manufacturer's label is accompanied by individual tags reading 52 (size) Play Dry (clear plastic logo tag) and +4 Length along with a chain-stitched cloth strip that reads "2004." With evidence of light game use the shirt comes problem-free and without alteration.
