On August 26 2003 U.S. Womens National Team head coach April Heinrichs named the 20 players who would represent the United States in their home country on womens soccers grandest stage. Leading the way were four players poised to play in their fourth Womens World Cup tournament in team captains Julie Foudy and Joy Fawcett the worlds all-time leading scorer Mia Hamm (140 goals) and the worlds all-time appearance leader Kristine Lilly (253 caps). Hamm Lilly and Foudy had played in all 18 of the USAs Womens World Cup matches. The roster was a product of more than two and a half years of player evaluations by Heinrichs and her staff that included 42 international matches countless youth national team practices and games and almost 260 WUSA games.

The 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup 2003 the fourth edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup was held in the United States and ultimately won by Germany. The U.S. Womens National Team after winning its group pairings with an undefeated (3-0) record then went on to beat Norway 1-0 in the quarter-finals. The lone goal was scored by Abby Wambach. In the semi-final round however the U.S. was defeated by Germany 3-0 before bouncing back to claim third-place with a 3-1 victory over Canada. Lilly Shannon Boxx and Tiffeny Milbrett each scored goals.

This lot features a multi-signed 2003 U.S. Womens National team poster featuring all 20 members of the squad. Eighteen different U.S. Womens Team players signed the poster in black marker right next to their respective head shots. Key signatures include Hamm Foudy Fawcett Wambach Boxx Brandi Chastain and Briana Scurry. The overall measurements for the framed poster are 40 wide by 27 high.
