Featured here is a Steve Rucchin Anaheim Mighty Ducks game-worn jersey from the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals vs. the New Jersey Devils. The Canada-born center played in all 21 playoff games that year tallying 7 goals and 3 assists. This coming off the heels of a solid 58-point season. The Devils denied the Mighty Ducks their first cup in an epic 7-game Finals by shutting them out 3-0 in the deciding game. It was a memorable run for the Ducks franchise that set the tone for a parabola of success in the coming years.
The purple CCM size 58 road jersey has the Mighty Ducks patch sewn on the front and both shoulders along with the 2003 Stanley Cup patch crested over the right chest area. His Alternate Captain's 'A' is sewn over the left chest area. Rucchin's #20 is sewn on both sleeves and on the back in white tackle twill with purple and teal piping. 'RUCCHIN' on back is in white on a purple nameplate. There is also a KOHO logo patch sewn on the back above the letters. The jersey has the 2002-2003 MeiGray inventory tag (coded A08748 for authenticity verification) in the hem. It shows good wear with a black puck mark and stick gash that has broken through the fabric on the front right side. There is little pilling or fraying and it comes essentially as-issued. What an incredible offering for Ducks fans and hockey collectors alike!
