The 2003 season was Rafael Palmeiro's last with the Texas Rangers and he turned in another incredible year. Palmeiro smacked 38 home runs and batted in 112. He had a .260 batting average that year, the year that he used this bat. The SAM '2K1' bat is 34 inches long and weighs 33.1 ounces. It is uncracked an exhibits outstanding use. Many ball marks and stitch impressions are visible on all sides of the barrel. Also visible is an impression from a weighted batting donut. The handle is taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip. Palmeiro signed and inscribed the right barrel with "500 HRS" in bold silver permanent marker. PSA/DNA gave the bat a near-perfect GU 9.5 for the use.
