Alex Rodriguez used this Rawlings PRO-GHF model glove every game during the 2003 season with the Texas Rangers. A-Rod earned his first of three AL MVP awards that year while recording 47 homers, 118 RBI, 17 steals and 30 doubles. Rodriguez also received the Silver Slugger and Gold Glove awards due to his stellar defense at shortstop.
The glove featured here displays heavy game use in the pocket, web face and throughout the body. The red Rawlings logo is sewn onto the base of the outside thumb while "Alex Rodriguez" is embroidered in black along the outside of the thumb. The signature gold triangle with the red Rawlings logo also appears on the outside fingers. Rodriguez' autograph is in two places on the glove in black marker. One autograph is on the outside index finger and the other is just below his embroidered name on the outside thumb. Rodriguez' inscription, "2003 Game Used EVERY GAME... #8 ERRORS" is just below his index finger autograph.
The glove is accompanied by an LOA from David Esken and John Taube of PSA/DNA (1G00566) and an LOA from Beckett indicating the autographs and inscription were done in A-Rod's hand.
