ADDENDUM: Please read updated description. This ring is made of 14K gold with real diamonds.

Offered here is a lovely 2002 San Francisco Giants National League Champions ring made of 14-karat white and yellow gold, complete with its original presentation box. It was presented to a longtime PR and community relations employee of the team who worked with Willie Mays, Willie McCovey and other Giant greats on several outreach projects. San Francisco finished in second place in the NL West but earned a Wild Card spot in the playoffs thanks to a 95-66 record. After beating the Braves in the Division Series, the Giants knocked out the Cardinals in five in the NLCS and seemed destined to give manager Dusty Baker, outfielder Barry Bonds and millions of nostalgic Giants fans their long-awaited first World Series title in the City by the Bay. Alas, an Anaheim Angels squad inspired by red goatees and that annoying "Rally Monkey" from the NBC TV Show "Friends" would prevail in a thrilling seven-game Fall Classic.

The face has a large "SF" logo made of white gold and lined with 31 round-cut diamonds (each .01 carat) sitting atop a black spinel stone surrounded by "NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS" and "GIANTS" flanked by two larger brilliant-cut diamonds (each .03 carat). On one side is "GRISBY" and a raised image of what was then called Pacific Bell Park with the Bay Bridge in the background. The other has a large banner reading "2002 CHAMPS NATIONAL LEAGUE GIANTS" and smaller banners below listing every previous NL Pennant-winning season by the Giants franchise from 1904 through 1989. Inside the band is a "14K" hallmark. Ring size is 9-1/2. Total diamond carats is approximately .36 and overall weight of the ring is 35 grams. It shows very little wear, although one of the 31 diamonds in the SF logo appears to be missing (easily replaceable). The beautiful cherry wood presentation box (NM/Mint) has a gold placcard on top reading "2002 NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS GIANTS" with the staff recipient's full name. Comes with a 2003 appraisal letter from Howard Kaplan of the company, Master of Design.
