Sammy Sosa remains the lone man in Big League history to have launched 60-plus homers in three separate campaigns. Offered here is a bat brandished by the slugging star during 2001 the year of his unprecedented third 60-homer showing. This black Rawlings Sammy Sosa professional model 170B bat is uncracked and shows evidence of excellent use. Several ball marks ball stitch impressions and cleat marks are visible on the left and back barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Also visible on the bat is an impression from a weighted batting donut. The lower handle and knob have been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip and there is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. The model number (170B) order number (002) and year (01) are stamped into the knob.
