Alex Rodriguez was one of the most consistently dominant players in baseball from the late 90s through the 2010s, racking up three American League MVPs and 14 All-Star appearances. During that time, he also helped the Yankees win the World Series in 2009, their first title since 2000 (a drought for the Yanks).
This lot offers an early career 2001 Louisville Slugger 'G174' professional model bat from A-Rod's tenure with the Texas Rangers. The 34", 29.5-ounce bat exhibits heavy use from batting practice (according to John Taube of PSA/DNA) with a handle crack. A heavy coat of pine tar can be noticed on the handle along with ball marks and stitch impressions on the barrel. A-Rod has signed and inscribed it "2001 game used" in bold black marker for nice eye appeal. Includes PSA/DNA LOA from Taube and cert sticker from PSA/DNA for the autograph.
