Just two years removed from the magical summer of '98 when Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa electrified the baseball world and beyond with an almost mythical home run derby battle McGwire suited up in this road gray St. Louis Cardinals jersey as baseballs home run king a title that he would hold for just one more year. This handsome jersey has "Cardinals" across the chest in red-braided chenille embroidery with the famed "Two Cardinals on Bat" graphic and the "Cardinals" script lettering in the same fashion. His number 25 is sewn below the heart in red-on-blue tackle twill lettering. On the back is a large McGwire on arched nameplate and 25 below both in red-on-blue tackle twill. Left sleeve bears the embroidered Rawlings logo in red thread. Official red white and blue MLB logo patch is affixed below the collar line on the back. Tagging on inside front left tail is Rawlings Authentic Collection with 2 inch extra length 2 inch extra sleeve length and [size] 52 flag tags below and Set 1 2000 flag tag to the right. Jersey shows light use and is largely problem free save only for a wee bit of fraying of the black stitching on his nameplate on the back.
