An incredibly historic pair of Jordan ‘Jumpman Swift 6’ size 14 sneakers worn by LeBron James in the 2000 Ohio High School D-III Championship and Semifinal games from his freshman year of high school. This pair of shoes stand as the earliest known photomatched and autographed pieces of memorabilia known from Lebron James. At the age of 15, Lebron solidified himself as a high-school phenom, leading his team to the state championship title and establishing himself with the public.
The sneakers remain in excellent condition and each don the inscription “#23 1999-2000 State Champs” along with a bold, early-career Lebron autograph. The shoes are also accompanied by the original Jordan shoe box that has been preserved throughout the last 20+ years.
The letter of provenance from Lebron’s stepfather, Eddie Jackson, states the following:
"This letter accompanies a pair of Jump Man Swift 6 shoes that were worn by LeBron James during the 1999-2000 Ohio High School Division III Championship Game between undefeated Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary and Jamestown Greenview. Each shoe is signed, and inscribed by LeBron with "#23" and "1999-2000 State Champs." The 1999-2000 season was LeBron's freshman year and his first State title. LeBron's performance in the championship game, with 25 points and 9 rebounds en route to victory, earned him national attention for the first time. Accompanying the shoes and this letter is an original photo of LeBron playing in the championship game with the shoes on, as well as the original box for the shoes. LeBron gave me these shoes after the championship match and signed them for me."
Along with the letter of provenance from Jackson, the shoes are accompanied by a full photomatch LOA from RGU, PSA/DNA & Beckett paperwork for each autograph, and a letter of authenticity from Sports Investors Authentication. A clear photomatch can be observed in the last three images included on this lot listing. The right shoe of Lebron James features a black stitch that pops out on the upper strap of the shoe, which can still be noticed today.
A true relic and the earliest known piece of autographed memorabilia from Lebron James.
