In 2000 the New York Yankees were busy inking their third straight World Series title under the direction of Manager Joe Torre and the leadership of Team Captain Derek Jeter. The Yankees defeated the surprising 116-46 Seattle Mariners in six games to win their 37th American League pennant and then bested the cross-town New York Mets in the Fall Classic four games to one. The championship marked the Bronx Bombers 26th World Series title overall.
This lot features a 2000 Derek Jeter New York Yankees World Champions 10K Gold replica ring with a presentation box. Featuring simulated diamonds in the encrusted "NY" logo and face this 10 karat gold ring embossed "Jeter" was used as a salesman's sample. One side of the band shows the Yankee logo above a Yankee Stadium facade type design and reads "PRIDE. The other side is engraved "JETER" above an image of the World Series trophy and words "26th" and "Tradition." It is accompanied by an original wooden presentation box with a glass etched face and reading "New York Yankees" and "2000 World Champions." This ring is a size 12 1/2 and is in excellent condition overall with minor wear from use.
