Darryl Kile was a beloved member of the St. Louis Cardinals and active in community events in St. Louis when a heart attack took him from the game at age 33. This jersey was worn by the three-time All-Star during the 2000 season his only 20-win campaign in a standout career that ran from 1991 to 2002 and featured a lifetime log of 133-119 with an ERA of 4.12 and 1668 strikeouts. The grey knit button-down road jersey has the famed Cardinals “birds and bat” logo atop the scripted “Cardinals” on the front all done in the elegant and distinctive chenille red yellow and black embroidery that remains here in near-perfect condition. Kile’s No. 57 is front and back in red on black tackle twill and his name appears in the same fashion on a grey nameplate on the back directly below the iconic MLB embroidered logo on the collar. Kile has signed in black Sharpie on the jersey precisely between his numbers on the back. The Rawlings Authentic Collection labeling appears on the inside-front tail with Size 48 “2-Inch Shorter Length” and “Set 1 2000” flag tags attached alongside and below. The jersey shows light game use and comes problem-free condition without any alterations.Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
