Roberto Alomar appeared in the MLB All Star Game for the 11th and 12th time in 2000 and 2001. The Hall of Fame second baseman batted .310 with 19 home runs and 89 RBI in 2000. Alomar had an even more spectacular season in 2001, batting .336 with 20 homers and an even 100 RBI. He finished fourth in MVP voting that year. 

 

Offered is Alomar's Louisville Slugger 'M356' from the time period of those final two All Star seasons. The un-cracked bat exhibits evidence of outstanding use. Many ball marks, stitch impressions, and cleat marks are visible on all sides of the barrel. Also visible on the bat is an impression from a weighted batting donut. There is a moderate coat of Mota Stick on the lower handle and a heavy coat of pine tar on the upper handle and center brand. Alomar signed the right barrel in sharp silver marker. John Taube of PSA/DNA gave the bat a GU 9 assessment for the use. PSA/DNA authenticated the autograph separately.
