Former 6' 6" shooting guard/small forward Michael Redd played 12 seasons in the NBA the first 11 of which were spent sinking baskets for the Milwaukee Bucks. During the course of his career Redd averaged 19 points and 3.8 boards per outing. This lot features a special game worn 1968-69 "Throwback" style Bucks jersey that Redd donned during a Feb. 26 2003 game versus the Phoenix Suns at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. For the record The Suns prevailed 118-112 and Redd scored five points in 21 minutes of action for the home team. Redd is the last Bucks player to make an All-Star team. He did that in 2004.
The featured jersey green nylon mesh Reebok jersey includes proper tagging on the front left tail including an NBA Authentics tag adjacent to a Milwaukee Bucks/Reebok Apparel tag. Three strip tags connected to the ReeBok tag reading "02-03" "4" LB" and "46" reflect the season jersey length and size respectively. An NBA Hardwood Classics Vintage tag is positioned on top of the Reebok tag with a specially sewn-on white "1968-69" tag in black numbers to reflect the throwback year in question. The front of the jersey reads "MILWAUKEE" in white tackle twill outlined in red with Redd's jersey number "22" immediately below it in similar tackle twill fashion. The official NBA embroidered NBA patch can be found on the upper left shoulder area. The back of the jersey includes "REDD" across the back of the shoulders in white tackle twill with his uniform number "22" below it in white tackle twill outlined in red.
