Former MLB first baseman Todd Helton played his entire career in the Mile High City at Denver’s Coors Field. One of the top hitters and run producers in his prime Helton belted 369 home runs and drove in 1406 runs during his 17-year career finishing with an average of .316 that included a batting title in 2000. This lot features Helton’s 1999 Colorado Rockies autographed and game worn road jersey from his 3rd Big League season in which he batted .320 with 35 homers and 113 RBI. He is certainly a Hall of Fame consideration when he becomes eligible in a few years.

The gray button-down polyester [size] 48 jersey with purple accents includes proper Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tagging on the left front tail below which resides a sewn-on white tag reading “HELTON-48-17” to denote the player jersey size and uniform number. Three additional flag tags reading “100% POLYESTER” “1” EXTRA LENGTH” and “TAPERED BODY” are also in the vicinity. The jersey which shows light use reads “ROCKIES” arched across the front in purple tackle twill outlined in white. His uniform number “17” is centered on the back in purple tackle twill numerals measuring eight inches tall that are outlined in white. The official Colorado Rockies embroidered black purple silver and white patch adorns the left sleeve while a special “CHS” embroidered patch adorns the right to acknowledge the deadly Columbine High School shootings that took place earlier that year. The back of the jersey includes his last name – "HELTON" – arched across the shoulders in purple tackle twill outlined in white. Slight fraying of the letters on the back is evident. Helton signed the front of jersey in blue marker and personalized it “To Jack.”
