Mark McGwire is the owner of 583 home runs and currently sits at number 11 on the All-Time Career Home Run Leaders list. This bat was used by Big Mac during 1999, The third time he’d lead the league in home runs and his last productive season before injuries cut down his playing time. And what makes this McGwire gamer stand out is that it was used by the Home Run Champ to hit number 48 and 49 of his eventual 65 homers of the year. McGwire has signed the barrel in bold black marker with the inscription, “To Adam, HRs 48, 49 8-18 8-22-99.” The bat displays awesome game use with many ball marks, scuffs, and ink transfers visible on the barrel. The knob and barrel ends show scuffing from contact with other equipment. The handle and center brand have a heavy coat of pine tar, and the knob has been stamped with the model number “MAC25 642 99” and “33 McGwire” has been handwritten in black pen. An awesome part of baseball history attributed to two of McGwire’s home runs. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA and has been graded a perfect GU 10.
