The late Junior Seau was considered the heart and soul of the San Diego Chargers football team from his rookie season of 1990 to 2004. The hard-hitting linebacker led by example and led the team in tackles numerous times. This lot features a pair of his game worn cleats from the 1999 NFL season one in which he recorded 75 solo tackles 24 assists and 3.5 sacks. He also made one interception which he returned for 16 yards.
The offered pair of Nike “Zoom Air” tri-color (blue black and white) cleats reflect outstanding game wear and include Seau’s uniform number “55” embroidered in blue on a white patch that’s sewn onto both tongues. Field particles are still embedded on the bottom of both cleats. A large blue Nike swoosh adorns both sides of either shoe which include seven cleats each. The original white laces from both cleats remain intact.
Includes Letter of Provenance from the San Diego Hall of Champions.
