This lot features a nice pairing of framed New York Yankees World Champion team signed photographs from the end of the millennium when the Yanks capped off their incredible run of four titles in five seasons. All signatures come in bold silver paint pen averaging 9/10 in strength and eye appeal. Both photos include a background graphic of the famous Yankee Stadium facade.
The 1999 team photo holds 45 autographs including Hall of Famers Joe Torre, Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter (soon-to-be), as well as Andy Pettitte, Bernie Williams, Jorge Posada, Tino Martinez, Paul O'Neill, Scott Brosius, Chuck Knoblauch, Joe Girardi, Roger Clemens, Orlando Hernandez, David Cone, Chili Davis, Hideki Irabu, Ricky Ledee, Chad Curtis, Shane Spencer, Jeff Nelson, Luis Sojo, Ramiro Mendoza, Mike Stanton, Clay Bellinger, Jim Leyritz, Willie Randolph, Chris Chambliss, Don Zimmer, Mel Stottlemyre, etc. The 11" by 14" photo is nicely matted within a "18.75" by "21.5 wood frame that also displays both the 1999 Yankees and Atlanta Braves World Series press pins commemorating their matchup in the Fall Classic.
