Dirk Nowitzki will go down as one of the greatest international players in NBA history when he decides to hang up his Dallas Mavericks jersey. His path to superstardom began to take shape during his 2nd season in 1999-2000 when he averaged 17.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 38% from 3-point range. Offered here is Dirk's game-worn road jersey from that fabulous sophomore campaign. The 7-footer out of Wurzburg Germany has 13 All-Star appearance a league MVP in 2006-07 and an 2011 NBA title on his incredible resume. After 18 seasons and counting Dirk currently sits in sixth place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list and will surpass the coveted 30000 point total next year. He is widely considered the greatest foreign player in NBA history and will surely be enshrined in Springfield on the first Hall of Fame ballot he is eligible.
The 100% polyester blue mesh jersey features "DALLAS" across the chest above Dirk's number "41" both in white-on-green tackle twill. An arched "NOWITZKI" appears across the back in white above his number "41" which again comes in white-on-green. The front left tail of the jersey boasts a Nike size 54 manufacturer's label and a "LENGTH +4" flag tag with a Dallas Mavericks logo strip tag adjacent. This was the last year the Mavs wore this style. The jersey comes all-original and displays solid overall wear with fraying to the front and back number stitching significant stretching around the green-and-white neck piping and a small white spot on the lower front. Color bleeding from numerous wash cycles is also evident inside and on the NBA logo patch.
Includes letter from MEARS with A5 rating.
