1998 marked Yankee Stadium’s 75th anniversary, and the team rang it in with its 24th World Series title, sweeping the San Diego Padres. The Yankees made history during this epic season, winning a total of 125 games against 50 losses in both the regular (114) and post-season (11), smashing the previous record of 116 combined wins by the Mets in 1986. This OAL (Budig) baseball features 21 signatures including Hall of Fame inductees Joe Torre, Tim Raines and Mariano Rivera as well as Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, Andy Pettitte, Bernie Williams, David Wells (SS)("P.G. 5-17-98"), Paul O'Neill, Scott Brosius, Orlando Hernandez, Joe Girardi, Darryl Strawberry, etc. Ball is very lightly toned (NM) and autographs range 7-8/10 in blue ballpoint. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Steiner hologram sticker (037340) on ball.
